What is chorus and is it an activity for me?
Chorus is a group of 4th and 5th students who like to sing, want to learn proper vocal technique to better their singing voices, and want to perform in front of an audience.

When does the chorus meet?
The Canal View Chorus will meet every Thursday morning from 8 - 8:50am.

Do we need to come to every rehearsal?
Singing in chorus is a team effort. We must learn the right notes and rhythms before we can work on dynamics and other musical aspects of a song. The more rehearsals we have with everyone, the more we can do with our voices and the music that we will be studying. Attendance will be taken at every rehearsal. Students are expected at every rehearsal, unless legally absent from school. If a student misses two rehearsals due to unexcused absence, he/she may be dismissed from the group.

What is the chorus routine?
On chorus days students will report to the Music Room in the morning and we will begin vocal exercises to warm up the voice. Attendance is taken at every rehearsal to account for all students. The students rehearse the music for their next concert until 8:50am. At that time, students will are released and sent to their homerooms for the rest of their day.

When are the concerts?
